Raymond Obeng

Dr. Raymond Obeng is a Ghanaian American who received most of his education in Ghana. He holds a Doctorate of Education with organizational leadership concentration from Northeastern University, Boston, MA; a Commonwealth Executive Master of Public Administration (CEMPA) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana; and a Bachelor of Education in Arts from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. He is an associate fellow at the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA). His research focuses on career development through mentoring. He has presented at several seminars and conferences including Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Education Convening that focused on Change Agent as a Scholar-Practitioner: Designing a Blueprint for Change. Further, he serves as an African Leadership Network for Human Services’ Untapped Talent Project advisor at African Bridge Network, Boston. Dr. Obeng has also held positions in the human services field, including services coordinator, program supervisor, and development services specialist and served as practicum supervisor, internship coordinator, regional mentoring team member, and regional diversity committee member at the Massachusetts’ Department of Developmental Services. He worked as a public-school teacher at the Ghana Education Service and was promoted to assistant superintendent and principal superintendent ranks.
