Afrikaans Language Instructor
Nadene D’oliveira was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. She joined the African Language Program at Harvard University in 2020 and teaches Afrikaans. Nadene earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in English Summa Cum Laude in the state of Connecticut. Throughout her undergraduate career, Nadene served as a Teaching and Residence Assistant at Central Connecticut State University. In addition to teaching in the African Language Program, Nadene works full time within the Intellectual Property (patent prosecution) field in downtown Boston. She truly enjoys teaching her native language, Afrikaans and sharing its rich culture at Harvard University.
