Gihan Siddig Suliman

Gihan S. Suliman is the Sudanese and Egyptian languages instructor at Harvard University. This is Gihan's third year teaching Sudanese Arabic and 2nd year teaching Egyptian Arabic. She works as the Community Health Department Manager at a local community health center promoting Massachusetts Department of Public Healths Women Health Program for the women in the Muslim and Arabic speaking communities. She promotes cultural awareness through her lectures "Know Your Patient's Culture: Your Muslim Patient" to the medical community. Gihan is also the Founder and Director of JAHAN Women and Youth Intercultural, a nonprofit organization that serves as a cultural platform for the women and youth in the Muslim and Arabic speaking communities. She is married, a mother of five, and a Boston resident. She enjoys learning about different cultures and educate others about the Muslim and Arab's cultures.
