The ELIAS project is an initiative to develop language learning courseware for African languages enhancing the study of Africa.

As universities seek to incorporate the African experience in their curriculums, there is a need to utilize the most efficient technologies to construct optimal online resources for housing, accessing, sharing, updating, expanding, and delivering courseware for different African languages. The Enhanced Language Instruction for African Studies (ELIAS) project at Harvard is an effort at providing a robust language learning environment configured to accommodate any language with considerable ease of use and maintenance.
